REB BEHR MANISCHEWITZ, a great Talmud chochem, philanthropist and schochet of the great world goen, Reb Israel Salanter, arrived in Cincinnati in 1888 and organized the world-wide Kosher Matzo factory in Cincinnati.
The bakery was always under the supervision of the greatest Rabbis, Presidents of the Agudat Horabonim, first under Rabbi A. G. Lesser, now under Rabbi Eliezer Silver. Since 1931 it has had 2 branches, one in Cincinnati and one in Jersey City. All products of the firm are guaranteed as Kosher limehadrim. Now the grandchildren of the great scholar Behr Manischewitz are directing the matzo factory in the same ways as their grandfather. The B. Manischewitz Co. is recognized as the best and most Kosher one in the world.
